PhD student working on "Broadcast Cancellation in Unstructured Networks",supervised by Prof. Carlos Baquero (UM) and Prof. Hugo Miranda (UL).

The ongoing work is focused on new strategies to cancel ongoing broadcasts. In particular, some approaches explores the delay tolerant characteristics of large-scale networks, to improve energy-time efficiency in searching mechanisms. Cancellation is expected to be useful for upper-layer protocols, services and applications, such as routing, resource querying and location.

Using high-level simulation techniques to measure the performance of alternative protocols and evaluating the proposed protocols for wireless unstructed networks scenarios, using the ns2 simulation tool.
