My News Gets an Activity Feed

Starting from humble roots, My News has grown from a chronological list of your friends’ stories to a rich blend of stories your friends are interacting with and top content from Newsrooms you’ve joined.

We’re also adding an activity feed to My News.

Digg Newsrooms: Tinkering Under the Hood

It's been a month since we launched the Digg Newsrooms beta and we’re getting used to the new ride.

So far we’ve seen good things. Unique visitors to Digg have increased, Newsroom traffic has grown by 4x and visitors coming to a news story via Facebook and Twitter are returning on a regular basis to find interesting stories.

But like any beta, we want to iterate on a number of things to get them right. Specifically in helping readers discover content they care about.

Newsrooms Beta: Now Open to Everyone

Several weeks ago we announced the launch of Digg Newsrooms, which represents our next step towards creating tools for finding the best news. We've received a tremendous amount of feedback from loyal users and new users alike, and many more improvements and fixes are in the pipeline.

Today we're opening the Beta to all users!
