mechanical engineering department - research

The Department is involved in a wide variety of projects founded by the Portuguese Science Fundation (FCT), the European Comunity and the Industry. Interdisciplinary projects and scientific co-operation with other departments and institutions are both encouraged and an expected outcome of the wide spectrum of scientific areas in which the Department is involved. Most of the projects enrole a growing number of external researchers who are also involved in either MSc or PhD projects.
