MIT Portugal Professor Bhatia Named One of Ten “Women to Watch” in High Tech |

Professor Sangeeta Bhatia, an MIT Portugal Program Bio-Engineering focus area faculty member, was named one of 10 “Women to Watch” on January 23, 2009, by Mass High Tech, a Massachusetts-based newspaper that covers technology issues and trends.
Professor Bhatia and the others named for excelling in technological innovation will be honored at a ceremony in Cambridge on March 12.
Professor Bhatia, who has both an M.D. and a Ph.D., is Professor of Health Science and Technology and Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT. Several MIT Portugal graduate students work in her lab, including on projects that involve repairing and regenerating damaged tissue using micro- and nanotechnology tools.
