Job description:
NEGE (Management Research Unit) offers one research position in the field of management.
NEGE (Núcleo de Estudos em Gestão / Management Research Unit) is a research unit of the University of Minho dedicated to the development and dissemination of knowledge in management, with a focus on finance, organizational behaviour, human resource management, and accounting. The working language is English.
Applicants should be prepared to participate in the Unit’s research activities and are expected to show a strong research potential for conducting independent research, managing research projects, and publishing internationally. The selected candidate may participate in one of the current projects in the Unit or launch a new research project in a topic area relevant to NEGE.
The contractual conditions are in accordance with the programme Ciência 2008. These include a base salary equivalent to índice 195 of the Portuguese research career €3.101,87, per month (x 14 months).
APPLICANTS
Candidates should have a PhD in management. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in independent research and a strong publication record. Candidates should have a high quality research background and preferably 3 years of post-doctoral research experience. The work is to be developed in either one of the following areas: general management, organizational behaviour, human resource management, finance, or accounting. The applicant may participate in one of the current projects in the Unit (see http://www.negeum.net/ for details) or launch a new research project in a topic area relevant to the Unit. Our environment is team-based and good collaborative skills are essential. English is the working language of NEGE.
