Focus on...

FCT uses the Focus on... section of its web site to promote scientific community initiatives deserving particular emphasis. In most cases support is granted through the usual funding mechanisms (grants, project and unit funding, Scientific Community Support Fund) or through specifically targeted support. Nevertheless, irrespective of FCT support, other relevant quality initiatives may be considered.

The Focus on: People subsection in a special case. In it we showcase a few of the tens of thousands of researchers FCT has supported over the years who have seen their work deserve special public recognition through prizes or other distinctions. FCT is proud of having supported them before and wishes them special congratulations.
