FEDERICA is a two-and-a-half-year European project to implement an experimental network infrastructure for trialling new networking technologies.
This infrastructure is intended to be agnostic as to the type of protocols, services and applications that may be trialled, whilst allowing disruptive experiments to be undertaken. The aim is to develop mechanisms that will allow such experiments to be run over existing production networks without adverse effect.

2nd FEDERICA Workshop - Malaga, 9 June 2009 (in conjunction with TNC 2009)
This session will present the experimental network infrastructure being developed by the FEDERICA project. It will outline the techniques being developed to enable trialling of new networking technologies over production infrastructures, as well as the mechanisms used to allocate and control network resources. The session will also cover related network virtualisation initiatives.

FEDERICA Virtual Infrastructure Tutorial - Malaga, 7 June 2009
The FEDERICA project is building an experimental 'technology agnostic' infrastructure to support Future Internet research. This tutorial is aimed at researchers, network engineers and other potential users of the infrastructure, and will cover the virtualisation and network control mechanisms. It will also cover the toolbench that is being developed to integrate these mechanisms in order to provide automated and on-demand allocation
