A Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) é uma organização sem fins
lucrativos e em alguns países é uma organização de caridade dedicado ao
Software livre. A FSFE mantem
as liberdades de usar, estudar, partilhar e melhorar software que são
críticas para garantir uma participação equitativa na era da informação.
Nós trabalhamos para criar compreensão e apoio geral para o software
livre na política, direito e na sociedade em grande escala. Nós também
promovemos o desenvolvimento de tecnologias, tais como o GNU/Linux, o
sistema operativo, que dá estas liberdades a todos os participantes na
sociedade digital.
O trabalho da FSFE é possível devido a muitas contribuições individuais,

Web browser interoperability: FSFE welcomes EC's decision and offers support
2009-01-20
Free Software Foundation Europe welcomes the European Commission's
decision and offers its support in the coming anti-trust
investigation. As stated previously in a letter to the European
Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes, anti-competitive behaviour is
unacceptable, whether it occurs as 'tying' products with dominant
market segments, or in circumventing standards and fair access.

Monthly Fellowship meeting in Vienna, Austria

This month, the Vienna Fellowship meeting will be in
the Metalab, located in the Rathausstraße 6 in the 1st district of Vienna. We'll be there from 18:00, with agenda related discussions starting at 19:00. As usual, this invitation is for everyone interested in the FSFE or Free Software. We're looking forward to seeing you there!
8th Linux-Infotag, Augsburg University, Germany

FSFE is present with an information and merchandise booth at the 8th
Linux-Infotag Augsburg. The event takes place on 28 March 2009 from 9:30
to 17:30 in the IT faculty of the Augsburg University. Admission is free.
Reinhard Müller gives a speech called "5 most popular fallacys about Free
Software (or are they lies?)". The speech is in German and targeted at
everybody interested in Free Software.
