Vapaiden ohjelmistojen säätiö Euroopassa

Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) on vapaille ohjelmistoille omistautunut, voittoa tavoittelematon ja joissain maissa hyväntekeväisyysluokituksen saanut järjestö. FSFE:n näkemyksen mukaan vapaudet käyttää, tutkia, jakaa ja parantaa ohjelmia ovat elintärkeitä informaatioajan tasa-arvoisille osallistumismahdollisuuksille. Teemme töitä ohjelmien vapauden ymmärtämisen ja tuen eteen politiikan ja lakien saralla sekä yleisemmin yhteiskunnassa. Kannatamme myös näitä vapauksia digitaalisessa yhteiskunnassa kaikille tarjoavien teknologioiden, kuten GNU/Linux-käyttöjärjestelmän, kehittämistä.

FSFE:n olemassaolon ovat mahdollistaneet toimintaamme osallistuneet vapaaehtoiset, etenkin FSFE:n Fellowship-jäsenet. Eräs tapa auttaa on liittyä nyt, ja kannustaa muitakin liittymään.

FSFE is present with an information and merchandise booth at the 8th Linux-Infotag Augsburg. The event takes place on 28 March 2009 from 9:30 to 17:30 in the IT faculty of the Augsburg University. Admission is free.
