laugh all you want, I want to give fe users their own blog and this is a step on the way... This includes what I had to do to v0.6 to make it work in 1.3.9. I didn't find any other newer versions available and the guestbook doesn't cut it for me because of the future modifications I intend to continue making for this.

I'm sure I will but I doubt I'll share it if this is the way the community behaves. Remind me not to test or debug any of your contributions...

Oh, I see you are shiny... sorry but your code crashed IE hard so once I got it working I packaged it to share. Maybe if you had shared some of the discussion in english I would not have released this. In any case, it is now no longer available.

cool down a little... shiny wasn't here for a long time so if you do, you do, ´that's what I wanted to tell you. And as  Standby till Olivers Users join the code, join the backend and we will see whats the way the Blog is going.

If your IE crashes buy a new one

Question One would be do I have the latest version?
I downloaden mine from http://jgbm.de/.

Question 2 is template related.
I Can now get the correct blog to show up on the correct pafe using the RT. But i've also seen menu's with the number of archived blog entries and links to them. Is there a way to assign a different template for the entries, or where to edit the output / css and such.

Question 3 Pagination
How to do this.

Bonus question :-)
Any other cool parameters that i should know of ?

Kindest regards,

Julius

1. That version takes some work to get going.
2. I think you want to install Wordpress... this one is bare bones.
3. I think the pagination does work but I haven't run enough entries or data in a single entry to test it.

Good luck with it.

OK, well thanks for all the usefull replies. I did get it working and No i wont install wordpress. The possible beauty of phpwcms is the posibility of using modules inside the same backend as the rest of a website.

The beauty of a supportive community of open software is the abbilty to solve large problems together. At least I always thought. I've been using phpwcms for the last couple of years because of of its versatility. Oliver has proven to be a decent and secure writer of software and I hope he will incorporate blogs, calendars and user management on a short term bases. But I also hope people on this forum wil help him and eachother instead of pissing eachother off.

kind regards

Julius

Hi Julius,

a good way ! This Blog will continue until Olivers comes. For many reasons it needs to fit under many kinds of security watchdogs, and it needs to be cleaned up. Takes a little time.

All I meant is I don't think WCMSBlog does that yet and perhaps you would want to use wordpress or some other blog and call it using
include('otherapp.php');
I've had no problem blending other web applications into phpwcms (that is, unless they require user authentication which can be done but requires much more work).

the css goes into phpwcms_url/template/inc_css

I don't see in the code where it uses a template during front-end render... (but then again, I'm no longer trying to use it and I don't have all day to play with it either).
