Errors during login!

My first installation of phpwcms.
The installation was done with my web host Panelbox & Fantastico management software.
Installation went perfect, email myself a copy of the installation password etc.

Problem is user name & password are not accepted, keep getting "Errors during login!" warning.

Has anyone a suggestion

I take it you mean install a newer version of phpwcms?

I looked for the mysql db that was to be created, there are no tables in it.

I'll try to install a newer version and see what happens

I removed the old version of phpwcms and uploaded version 1.3.5

Used panelbox mysql wizard
Created a db called wcms1
gave it a user = wcms1

went to website /phpwcms/setup/index.php
which showed this info

PHP version: 5.2.6
MySQL version: 5.0.67
PHP settings
register_globals Off
safe_mode Off (check information about security risks)
GD2 bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
Image types supported: GIF/ PNG/ JPG

clicked on start setup
setup.php?step1

db host = localhost
db user wcms1
db password = lmaa
db database logonname_wcms1
db table prefis = blank

warning Please proof your database settings!
All the data bases on the system start with the logonname_

Drupal & joomla 1.5 installed created dbs, there must be a conflict between the systen and phpwcms

Joomla? Conflict ? No !Not even this is it able to do

tried that, nix.

I dropped the db and created a new one, cut & paste the user & db names from the phpwcms database setting form

that doesn't work either
The version I downloaded from phpwcms website is 1.3.9(r213)

You didn't write "blank" for the table prefix, or?
What about db user = logonname?
Check the description for db-access for your host.

And: you have to create the db first, then do the setup with the appropriate names and passwords....

No, I left it blank

What about db user = logonname?

The DB wizard from panelbox adds that logonname_dbname,
!!!!!!!!
That's it I have to use logonname_dbname, logonname_username

Now I can login
