[SOLVED] Upgrade from 1.3.3 to 1.3.9r172 (Extern. RSS)

Since I upgraded my test site from 1.3.3 to 1.3.9 r172,
I am having a problem showing external RSS feeds on homepage.
If I turn OFF the RSS feeds my page is OK.
If I turn ON the RSS feeds my page is BLANK.
Where would be the RSS file (.php) to check ?

Should be solved now - once when I have cleaned unused files I have deleted the snoopy class too which is required by RSS feed parser.

The only thing you have to check are modules you use since longer time. I must check how to solve it the better way.

The existing modules will be implemented by default.

What was the resolution to this problem? It is not clear to me.

I am also not able to get the external RSS feeds working on my 1.3.9r172 (although I had never tried on previous versions).

What is the secret for getting this to work?

Might be missing write permissions for directory content/rss. Check that first.
