Postby macmukka on Tue Nov 27, 2007 12:48

All - after the last attempt to get this finished...we started again....

The site uses my moded GT mod and a changed version of smoothgallery with some mootools tooltips thrown in for good measure. Smoothgallery content is generated using images div content part and png overlays are from you guessed it the GT mod-mod

Very nice site, clean, stylish and simple. Love the tool tips too.

Are you going to enable URL rewrite so Google likes it better too?

ah friendly URLs my old foe...and talking point...;-)

I tried the kubens method he ouutlined the other day on my testing server and had problems with the teaser content part....

do you have any suggestions? Have you done it successfully?

Incidentally did you find the "OPEN" button - do you think it's too hidden? under the main image? Thinking of having a tooltip that appears on a timer to draw attention to it...

Very nice'n tricky.
Much flash but very good picture quality!!!

Interesting automatic double column approach...
Works fine in FF

But:

Gecke(like) web browsers CAN'T work with:

Code: Select all
   -moz-column-width: 395px;
   -moz-column-gap: 40px;

What about IE??

true -

I had a javascript for IE etc to create columns... but I couldnt get it balancing the columns very well. I am going to look at it again - because it does look better with columns!

But then the whole site has to degrade without js I guess.

FF is just good to have implemented CSS3 methods. and the CSS is a bit of a mess :oops: at the moment - when I have time....

Thanks

So you mean FLASH(c) or just flash (fancy?)?

Ups :oops:
You are right! Very impressive, as I mentioned yet.

Seems you really are a JS crack.

Fine.

This may help with the URL rewrite: http://www.phpwcms.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11612&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=7

Hope the link works. I'm new to linking to posts in a forum.

I didn't see the open when first looking around the site but now i have and it's pretty clever. very nice interactivity.

Also i noticed the terms and conditions and privacy pages display oddly in Firefox.

Very nice design - I like it. Only a small thing: It should be easy to make the code valid. The rest is very good.
