Looking back on 2008

Thanks for making 2008 such an exciting year! The year was highlighted by the launches of App Engine, Chrome, GWT 1.5 and the adoption of OpenSocial. Android's SDK was released and the first Android-powered phone hit the market. The flow of new APIs continued with the launches of the YouTube API, Visualization API, Maps for Flash API, Finance API, and Custom Search API.

Even with all of the product launches, our favorite moments were meeting developers at Google I/O and at Google Developer Days around the world.
