'''Domingos Leite Pereira''' (pron. {{IPA2|du'mĩguʃ 'lɐit(ɨ) pɨ'ɾɐiɾɐ}}; Braga, 1882 – Oporto, October_27, 1956) was a Portuguese politician of the Portuguese_First_Republic. He had degrees in Theology and Literature of the University_of_Coimbra. He was a priest and helped to improve the relationships between the republic and the Catholic Church during his government.
During his life he served in many political posts:
* President of the Municipal_Chamber of Braga;
* Deputy in the constituent assembly, for the Democratic Party;
* President of the Chamber of Deputies;
* Minister of Public Instruction in the government of José_Relvas in 1919;
* Prime Minister (President of the Ministry) for three times: from March_30 to June_29, 1919; from January_21 to March_8, 1920; and from August_1 to December_17, 1925;
* Minister of Foreign Affairs in various governments: in those of Álvaro_de_Castro (from November_20 to 30, 1920), Liberato_Pinto (from November_30, 1920 to March_2, 1921); Bernardino_Machado (March_2 to May_23, 1921); António_Maria_da_Silva (November_30, 1922 to November_15, 1923); and, again, Álvaro_de_Castro (December_18, 1923 to July_6, 1924).
After the May_28,_1926_revolution that installed the ''Ditadura_Nacional'' (National Dictatorship) that would be followed by António_de_Oliveira_Salazar's quasi-fascist ''Estado Novo'' (New State), he abandoned his political life. Until the end of his life in 1956, he served as President of the insurance company ''Douro''.
